The Skeleton Run

The Skeleton Run 2020

Unfortunately, The Skeleton Run 2020 is now cancelled.

I did hope, although in honesty with some doubts, that the Covid-19 situation might have improved sufficiently to allow the event to take place on Friday 30th October, but this just isn’t the case. For a number of reasons, I wouldn’t be able to stage the event as I would like, so have decided to cancel.

I’ve held The Skeleton Run for 12 years, and it is without doubt, my favourite event of the year (I’d already sorted out my outfit for this year!). For the past few years, I’ve been very lucky that the event has been popular and has sold out within weeks of the event date. At present we have 34 entries, which shows the completely understandable reluctance of runners to enter events, as virtually all events have been forced to cancel this year.

As a small events company we simply can’t gamble that the entries will increase in the next few weeks, particularly not this year, as we’ve had to cancel all but one of our events, completely wiping out a whole year’s work.

I realise that this isn’t what you all wanted to hear, and no one can be more disappointed than I am; having to cancel event after event is very disheartening, but we’ll get through this and get back to competing on the trails we love again soon.

All entrants have been emailed via SIEntries with the transfer/refund options available, please check your inboxes before messaging me.

Keep fit, healthy and safe…
